LACK OF INITIAL CONFIDENCE IS COMPLETELY NORMAL....
ITS HARD for someone to have their photograph taken if they haven't done it many times. It can feel so stressful not knowing what the result of the image will be, or maybe if you blinked during the shot, but it can also be a very expressive and fun time when looking over the images. Not because you are in front of my camera means that you should worry about your insecurities. Im here to assure you that it is OKAY and that you WILL receive beautiful images. HERE'S WHY...
IT'S MY JOB to ensure not only that you receive amazing images that you love, but to bring out your exclusive personality and make your images like no other. There is only one you in this world and I think the world should know who you are through amazing imagery. Your "flaws" (in quotations because I feel like no-one has flaws and there is beauty in the uniqueness of everyone) can be an amazing thing. They show who you are, what you've been through and what you've become because of those "flaws". Your uniqueness can be used to create a creative piece admiring YOU. MAKE YOUR STATEMENT ON THE WORLD!
I ALWAYS LIKE TO SHOW MY CLIENTS THEIR WORK while in the process of making them. A photo session isn't about taking your images and editing them just because I know what to do with a camera. I think its about the experience, atmosphere and comfort of the client in the studio or shoot location. Your comfort is extremely important and you are entitled to the best treatment by any photographer that you work with. With that being said, I will always make sure you are comfortable, and excited to shoot even before my first shutter goes off. Also, never hesitate to ask to see an image or tell your photographer you would like to redo a shot. It is always in our best interest to show you off in the best light possible. Critique our work. We're used to it.
SOME MAY THINK that because your having your images taken, you should be able to pose like professional models to create amazing art. NO. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. If you are interested in shooting with creative poses to create incredible artwork, I will be more that happy to help coach you to create your dream. Because you can't see yourself until I show you, it requires a level of trust that the poses or ideas behind certain shots will be to your liking. I want you to know that you can trust me in allowing you to be yourself and capturing your amazing personality.
